Online Guitar Lessons

Learn guitar from the comfort of your home with one-to-one lessons via Zoom

Online guitar lessons via Zoom

Online guitar lessons are a convenient and flexible way to learn without the need to travel. They allow you to connect with a teacher from wherever you're based and many students find them just as effective as in-person lessons.

Online lessons are suitable for complete beginners through to more advanced players and are tailored to your musical tastes and goals.

I have over 20 years of playing and teaching experience, working with students of all ages and abilities. Lessons are personalised to help you build a strong foundation, develop your skills and enjoy the learning process.

How Online Lessons Work

Online lessons are taught live via Zoom, allowing us to interact in real time just like in a face-to-face lesson.

During lessons, I use screen sharing to guide you through the lesson material. I’ll also demonstrate techniques up close and provide detailed feedback while you play. This allows us to cover the same topics you would in a traditional lesson setting.

What You'll Learn

Online guitar lessons can cover a wide range of topics depending on your goals and experience level.

Topics covered include:

  • Rhythm guitar playing
  • Lead guitar techniques
  • Learning songs
  • Fretboard knowledge
  • Improvisation
  • Music theory
  • Ear training

Lessons are tailored to your musical tastes, including:

Rock • Metal • Blues • Pop • Acoustic • Fingerstyle

Online lessons also include PDF materials, plus audio and video files to support your practise between sessions.

What You'll Need

Online guitar lessons are simple to set up.

All you need is:

  • A reliable internet connection
  • A webcam (or a phone / tablet / laptop with a camera)
  • A Zoom account

A quiet space where you can hear and play comfortably is also helpful.

Who Online Lessons Are Suitable For

  • Beginners starting their first guitar lessons
  • Adults with busy schedules
  • Students living outside the Croydon area
  • Players looking for structured guidance and feedback
