Online Guitar Lessons
Learn guitar from the comfort of your home with live one-to-one lessons via Zoom
Online guitar lessons are a convenient and flexible way to learn without the need to travel. They allow you to connect with a teacher from wherever you're based, and many students find them just as effective as in-person lessons.
Online lessons are suitable for complete beginners through to more advanced players and are tailored to your musical tastes, experience and goals.
Whether you want to learn your first chords, improve your technique, play your favourite songs or build confidence as a musician, lessons are designed to help you progress at a pace that works for you.
I have over 20 years of playing and teaching experience, working with students of all ages and abilities. Each lesson is personalised to help you build strong foundations, develop your skills and enjoy the learning process.
How Online Lessons Work
Online lessons are taught live via Zoom, allowing us to interact in real time just like in a face-to-face lesson.
During lessons, I use screen sharing to guide you through exercises, songs, diagrams and notation. I’ll also demonstrate techniques up close and provide detailed feedback while you play.
This means we can cover the same subjects you would in a face-to-face lesson, including rhythm and lead playing, learning songs, music theory, fretboard knowledge and improvisation.
What You'll Learn
Online guitar lessons can cover a wide range of topics depending on your goals and experience level.
Topics include:
- Chords and rhythm guitar playing
- Lead guitar techniques
- Scales and improvisation
- Music theory and fretboard knowledge
- Learning songs
- Technique development and practice methods
Lessons are tailored to the styles of music you enjoy, including:
Rock • Metal • Blues • Pop • Acoustic • Fingerstyle
Whether you're learning your first chords or developing more advanced playing skills, lessons are structured to help you make steady progress.
Materials and Lesson Support
Online guitar lessons include a range of supporting materials to help you practise between sessions.
These include:
- PDF lesson materials
- Audio examples
- Video demonstrations
- Backing tracks for practice
These resources help reinforce what you learn in the lessons and make it easier to continue improving in your own practice time.
What You'll Need
Online guitar lessons are simple to set up.
All you need is:
- A reliable internet connection
- A webcam (or a phone / tablet / laptop with a camera)
